During the weekend of July 4th 2011, PromoGuinée hosted a series of events.

Our goal was to raise funds that will go toward our students' scholarships, but also continue to raise awarness about the importance of education.

One of the event was a BasketBall Tournament that regrouped teams of Young Guineans, Friends of Guineans and Families. The tournament gave us a platform where we could reach out to the youth in the United States and continue to encourage them to participate in Community Service whether in the US, in Guinea or anywhere in the world.

Within this same spirit of Education Awarness and Community Service Encouragment, we hosted an Award Ceremony in the Evening of July 2nd. During the event, we presented Guinea, its educational system and problems based on research by some of our members.

We also presented PromoGuinée, Our Projects, and Our Vision. Most importantly, we recognized various individuals and organizations that have continuously contributed toward a "Better Guinea"
