Comments Off on Covid-19 Pandemic: Donation of sanitary materials
PromoGuinée in colaboration with The Circle of Educational and Scientific Animation of the Department of Sociology of the University Lansana Conté of Sonfonya (Le Cercle d’Animation Pédagogique et Scientifique du Département de Sociologie – CAPS-DS) donated hygienic and sanitary materials to several police stations and detention centers in the commune of Ratoma which is one areas most affected by Covid-19 in Conakry. The overall objective of this project is to promote the health of the Guinean population and to increase the level of information and knowledge of police officers and the national gendarmerie on social distancing measures and guidelines to fight against Covid-19. This donation will help 10 police stations, 200 agents and hundreds of detainees to be able to interact safely and minimize Covid-19 transmissions.
#PromoGuinée is so proud of these young men and women who have worked with us over the years through our scholarship programs. From a young age they fight through life difficulties, many from poor families and some with no parents at all. Despite those challenges they still strive in school and deservedly received our sponsorship helping them get a better education. From tuition and fees in private schools to private tutoring, mentoring and school supplies and uniforms, we provide the tools that these students need to alleviate some of the challenges in their lives so they can focus more on their education and prepare a better future for themselves and their communities.
